I wrote the Face Painting Encyclopedia after spending a lot of money buying
and using either the wrong or inferior products.
There is a vast amount of mis-information out there and some of it is being promoted as suitable for face painting.
When I could not find any 1 complete book informing me of all the different products and their capabilities (good or inferior).
I decided to research each new individual product available .
I have purchased and tried most every Product.
Some are and some are not recommended by the manufacturers as suitable for
face painting. After many hours and much work, I combined all the
gathered information into 1 complete book. I have included my own personal experience of the many I've tried, though I don't consider myself an expert.. It is just my own opinion
However, since the original printing in 1996 there have been many new products produced.
Because I feel strongly that every face painter should have the most current information available to them, I have continued to research many of the new products.
The new information I gathered each year was printed and titled Update Sheets.
This additional information would be send free of charge with every book purchased.
I have realized the importance of this current information and that loose sheets were difficult to keep track of.
I have now instructed the printer to include in the book the 1997 and now the more recent 1998 Update Sheets.
This has added 20 additional pages to the Encyclopedia at no extra charge to the purchaser.
I have also included a list of over 58 other face painting books and their authors for your convenience.
Plus a list of Related Internet e-mail addresses.
I will continue to research any new face painting products, videos etc. as they become available to me.
